Jacques Brel
Posted on October 10, 2010The Golden Apple Theatre’s inaugural production, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well & Living in Paris, wrapped up Sunday, November 28, with a final matinee performance at 1 p.m. at The Artesian on 13th.
In a review in the November 20 Leader-Post, Joe Couture calls it “a delightful production,” “highly entertaining” and “thought-provoking,” and “a treat to experience.”
Directed by Geoffrey Whynot, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well & Living in Paris featured Andorlie Hillstrom, Ingrid Nilson, Jeff Irving and Robert Ursan.
In his review, Couture wrote:
Hillstrom and Ursan, who have trained and put young performers onstage through Do It With Class, get a chance to show off their own talents. Both are excellent singers and gave strong performances on opening night on Thursday. Irving and Nilson, both of whom left Regina to pursue artistic careers in other parts of the country, are also very talented. It was enjoyable to see two bright young products of Regina share their gifts with a hometown crowd.
Here’s the Leader-Post‘s earlier preview of the show.
