Stratford Stars FundraiserPosted on December 12, 2010
The New York Times raved about their performances in Stratford’s West Side Story. The Globe and Mail called Paul’s work, “A miracle.” The Toronto Star said of Chilina, “Sheer charisma, energy and passion.” And on January 21 they came to Regina to share their talents and love of musical theatre. Paul Nolan, originally from Rouleau, and his brilliant partner, Chilina Kennedy, presented a concert of musical theatre gems on Friday, January 21, 2011, at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, to an enthusiastic, standing-ovation-giving audience.
It truly was an evening filled with glorious melodies old and new, and the ecstasies and tragedies of love, life and laughter. The remarkable careers of these two unparallelled young performers have taken them from strength to stregnth, success to success, acclaim to…well, you get the point. Those who saw them perform at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum that night now know how proud every Canadian should be of their accomplishments.
