Golden Apple Theatre board member Kyle Golemba, who performed his revue Making Love in a Canoe as a fundraiser for the theatre in January,  is part of the cast of Tony Award-winning director John Doyle’s new production of Cole Porter’s Kiss Me, Kate, which opened Tuesday at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.

Kiss Me, Kate is a musical comedy about backstage romance during a musical production of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. The libretto is by Sam and Bella Spewack. The Porter score includes “So In Love,” “Too Darn Hot” and “Brush Up Your Shakespeare.”
